The weather during the Summer hasn't
suited everybody but our plants have loved it and many have developed really well for Autumn planting. Looking particularly
good this year are Daphne bholua varieties, these richly scented winter-flowering shrubs are particularly soughtafter and are
a challenge to propagate meaning that we rarely have any stock left by flowering time in January so Now is the ideal time
to find one of these lovely shrubs. Please refer to the catalogue for listings but at time of writing we have available:-
Daphne bholua 'Limpsfield',Daphne bholua 'Garden House Ghost',Daphne bholua 'Mary Rose',Daphne
bholua 'Sir Peter Smithers',Daphne 'Spring Beauty' and Daphne bholua 'Jacqueline Postill'
In addition to these larger Daphnes many of the dwarf forms also become available again from the nursery in Autumn/Winter,again
please refer to the catalogue for listings.
Other noteable shrubs for December include
Mahonia 'Esme' in full flower in December and Cornus sanguinea 'Midwinter Fire' which start to look their
winter best at this time.
During the winter custromers are
still welcome to visit and collect plants but please telephone or e-mail to check we are around.
Plants can also be ordered for local delivery or sent further afield by courier, please enquire by telephone or fill
